The Board of Directors of the “Akademija znanja” has appointed Danijela Jokić as the interim director of this municipal company in Budva.
This appointment was confirmed to “Vijesti” by representatives from the Municipality of Budva.
Under the leadership of chairman Aleksandar Franeta, the Board of Directors—including members Lazar Medigović, Branislav Šljivančanin, and Ana Kažanegra—has entrusted Jokić, a professor of English language and literature currently employed at the Academy of Knowledge, with the responsibility of leading the institution.
Prior to this, an amicable termination of the employment contract with former director Valentina Dabović was reached. It is notable that Dabović is affiliated with the coalition “For the Future of Budva – Mladen Mikijelj,” which she openly supported during the recent local elections.
This change marks the beginning of a “cleansing” process to remove personnel associated with Mikijelj’s coalition from administrative roles, local institutions, and companies.
The newly elected mayor of Budva Municipality, Nikola Jovanović, has indicated that all municipal companies, institutions, services, and entities will be staffed with qualified professionals. Initially, acting officials will be appointed, followed by recruitment advertising to find suitable candidates for key positions.
