At last, the press conference was filled with optimism—Petar Mijović had every reason to smile following SC Derbi’s victory.
The “Students” defeated Spartak in Subotica with a score of 89:79, boasting a remarkable 28-point lead and breaking a seven-game losing streak in the AdmiralBet ABA League.
“We maintained maximum focus and capitalized on Spartak’s weaknesses. The outcome rewarded our effort and mentality in this match, as well as in previous games, making this a significant win for us. It’s quite challenging to achieve this against Spartak, which is a refreshing highlight for the Abaliga scene,” Mijović commented.
Despite enduring some tough losses earlier, the fifth win in the regional competition has finally been secured.
“I had faith that the tide would turn for us eventually, and it happened against a very tough opponent. I hope this victory lifts the pressure from the players and helps us regain the confidence we had at the start of the season,” Mijović expressed.
SC Derbi will face Zadar in their next match.
