The commencement of the trial in the “Abu Dhabi Fund” case has been rescheduled to March 10th at the Higher Court in Podgorica.

The Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) has filed charges regarding illegal loans from the Abu Dhabi Fund against former Agriculture Ministers Petar Ivanović and Budimir Mugoša.

Also included in the indictment are Zoran Vukčević, former director of the Investment and Development Fund, and Blagota Radulović, the former head of the Directorate for Payments in the Ministry of Agriculture.

“The Special State Prosecutor’s Office has submitted charges against the defendants, including the former ministers of agriculture and rural development and the former director of the Directorate for IPARD payments in the then Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – P. I, BM, and BR, due to reasonable suspicion that they committed the extended criminal offense of abuse of official position during the allocation of funds from the loan of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, from 2015 to 2017,” stated special prosecutor Vukas Radonjić previously.

There is also a charge filed against the former director of the Investment and Development Fund of Montenegro for negligent performance of duties.

Milan Adžić is also facing charges for the criminal offense of abuse of assessment.

Charges have been laid against Ivanović and Mugoša based on reasonable suspicion that they committed the ongoing criminal offense of abuse of official position during the distribution of funds from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund loan between 2015 and 2017.
