Suspect arrested for setting fire to a tavern in Sinjavina katun

Suspect Detained for Arson at Tavern in Sinjavina Katun

The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) in Kolašin has decided to detain Ž. B. from that locality, based on reasonable suspicion that he started the fire that destroyed a tavern in a katun located in Sinjavina.

“Following the interrogation of the suspect Ž. B. regarding the criminal offense of causing general danger, the Kolašin ODT has issued a detention order. There is reasonable suspicion that he placed firewood under the roof of the Vratlo tavern, owned by VR, situated in the Ječmen Do katun on Mount Sinjavina, and ignited it with a lighter, allowing the fire to spread and consume the entire building,” the ODT reported.

They further state that the estimated value of the destroyed property exceeds 20,000 euros.
