Dortmund Faces Another League Defeat as Wolfsburg Triumphs Over Stuttgart

Bochum’s squad secured a 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund at home today during the 22nd round of the Bundesliga.

Both goals for Bochum were netted by Greek forward Giorgos Masouras in the 33rd and 35th minutes. Serbian player Erhan Mašović played the full match for Bochum.

Following their second consecutive loss in the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund sits in 11th place with 29 points, while Bochum is in the second to last position, 17th, with 14 points. In the upcoming round, Borussia Dortmund will welcome Union Berlin, and Bochum will face Wolfsburg.

Meanwhile, Borussia Mönchengladbach triumphed over Union Berlin with a score of 2-1 away.

Lukas Ulrich opened the scoring for the visitors in the 10th minute, and Tim Kleindienst extended their advantage in the 26th minute. The only goal for the Berlin side came from Serbian player Andrej Ilić in the 63rd minute from the penalty spot. The 24-year-old striker was substituted shortly after taking the penalty.

Borussia Monchengladbach holds the seventh spot in the Bundesliga standings with 34 points, whereas Union Berlin is currently in 13th place with 24 points.

Freiburg managed to claim a 1-0 away win against St. Pauli. The visitors had a chance to take the lead in the first minute of stoppage time during the first half, but Vincenzo Grifo failed to convert a penalty. Freiburg secured their win in the 89th minute through an own goal by Philipp Troy.

With their third consecutive victory, Freiburg is positioned fifth in the Bundesliga with 36 points, while the Hamburg team sits in 14th place with 21 points. Wolfsburg earned a 2-1 victory over Stuttgart away from home.

The home team gained the lead in the 72nd minute thanks to Nick Voltemado, but Thiago Tomas equalized for Wolfsburg just five minutes later.

Dortmund eventually defeated Wolfsburg, securing the win in the 87th minute when Mohamed Amura converted a penalty. Stuttgart currently occupies sixth place in the Bundesliga table with 35 points, while Wolfsburg follows closely in eighth with 33 points.
