Enhancing Collaboration between the Western Balkans and South America in the Fight against Organized Crime

The State Prosecutor for Liaison of Montenegro with EORUJUST and Deputy Supreme State Prosecutor, Jelena Đaletić, is currently attending a conference in Lima, Peru, which aims to enhance international cooperation among Western Balkan and South American nations in the fight against organized crime, according to an announcement from the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the press release, the event is organized by the Western Balkans Criminal Justice Project (WB Criminal Justice) and EL PACCTO 2.0 and focuses on addressing the challenges faced in combating organized crime while bolstering prosecutors’ offices’ capacities to effectively tackle transnational crime.
“Prosecutor Đaletić has engaged in bilateral meetings with prosecutors from Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, and Chile, discussing concrete actions and future initiatives aimed at establishing direct collaboration between the State Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro and the prosecution offices of South American nations. Branimir Janjević, an advisor to the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office, is also participating in the conference,” the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office stated.
