Jadran Bounces Back from a Minus Four Deficit but Falls Short in New Belgrade
The Jadran Mtela water polo team faced their second loss in the regional Premier League.
During the fourth round, Novljan fell to Novi Belgrade, who clinched the match in the “April 11” pool with a score of 15:13.
Jadran started the match on a challenging note, trailing 4:0, but showed resilience by equalizing by halftime at 7:7.
The score was tied at the beginning of the fourth period (12:12, with a goal from Danil Radović), but it became apparent that the points would remain in Belgrade when the home team surged ahead to 14:12.
Novi Belgrade extended their lead to 15:12, and the final score was established by Danilo Stupar with just one minute and 54 seconds remaining.
Aleksandar Ivović and Jovan Vujović both netted three goals for Vladimir Gojković’s squad, while Dmitrij Holod contributed two goals.
On the other hand, Montenegrin players Miroslav Perković and Đuro Radović each scored twice for the Belgrade team.
