Searches in Podgorica and Cetinje Lead to Discovery of Weapons and Ammunition; One Arrested

The police detained MM (49) from Cetinje after discovering and confiscating 134 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, an air rifle equipped with optics, a starter pistol, and 183 rounds of ammunition for the same in his residence.
According to the Police Directorate, MM was apprehended following a directive from the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Cetinje.
Acting on a judicial order, law enforcement executed a search warrant on the residence and facilities associated with ZV (74) and SV (73) from Cetinje, during which a “Walther” pistol and 25 rounds of ammunition were discovered and confiscated at a location in Podgorica.
The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Cetinje has been notified of the events and will provide a statement regarding the classification of the crime.
“To detect, prevent, and combat criminal offenses and misdemeanors, safeguard citizens, and enhance the level of collective security, officers of the Police Directorate will continue intensified efforts across all regions in Montenegro,” the police stated.
