Lothar Matthaus, a legendary figure in German and global football, expressed his disappointment with Bayern’s performance in the derby against Leverkusen, which ended in a 0-0 draw.

“I’ve never seen Bayern appear so toothless. They managed just two shots, none of which were truly on target. Bayer put in a solid effort, missed several opportunities, and can take satisfaction from their performance, while Bayern can only find solace in the result,” Matthaus remarked, adding:

“In a way, Bayern effectively won by drawing 0-0. It’s akin to a victory for them. They would need to lose three more matches for Bayer, who now has a 95 percent chance of losing the title race,” stressed Matthaus.

With this result, Bayern remains in the lead, holding an eight-point advantage.
