The Buducnost Bemaksa basketball team is set to face Trešnjevka in Zagreb for the 12th round of the WABA League tomorrow.
This match marks the Podgorica team’s first game of 2025, following a bye in the last round.
So far, Buducnost has been impeccable, achieving a perfect record with nine wins, while Zagreb’s team has a mixed performance with four wins and four losses.
Coach Petar Stojanović expressed that after a twenty-day hiatus, the Podgorica team is anticipating a challenging away game.
“We know we are facing a tough away match because Trešnjevka is a very talented team, strong in all positions, with its own ambitions, as evidenced by their fight for the final four. We have a significant challenge ahead, a lot of work to prepare, but I hope we can stay focused for all 40 minutes and respond appropriately,” said Stojanović.
Buducnost secured victory in their first encounter against Trešnjevka, winning 81:56 at home.
Point guard Jovana Savković mentioned that Trešnjevka is a young and dynamic team, yet to be defeated at home this season.
“As always, our focus will be on our own game; we will certainly strive to extend our winning streak,” said Savković.
The clash at the Sutinska Vrela hall is scheduled to commence at 18:00.
