Warning: Icy Conditions in the North

This morning, traffic in Montenegro is smooth on dry roads, although some northern sections are experiencing icy conditions, as reported by the Automobile and Motorcycle Association of Montenegro (AMSCG).
They also cautioned about reduced visibility in the valleys and some minor landslides.
For the regional road Đurđevića Tara – Mojkovac, traffic has been halted for all vehicles in Sokolovina due to a rockfall, which is part of the rehabilitation efforts at this critical point.
Traffic is suspended for all vehicles on the M-2 main road sections Ribarevina – Poda and Poda-Berane from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 7 pm.
On the main road Plužine – Jasenovo Polje, traffic will be paused between ten and noon, as well as from 12 pm to 1 pm in the Zaborje – Jasenovo Polje area.
Because of the reconstruction on the regional road R-29 Bar-Kamenicki most Krute, traffic will be halted from 11 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm.
The traffic direction on the M-3 highway for the Podgorica – Cetinje section has been modified from two-way to one-way, with temporary breaks of no more than 15 minutes due to ongoing work at the Cetinje-Čevo road intersection.
Additionally, the traffic flow has changed to one-way on the Lepenac-Ribarevine main road due to reconstruction, which may lead to occasional stoppages lasting no more than 30 minutes at the worksite.
On the Nikšić-Vilusi main road, traffic has been altered from two-way to one-way on the Nikšić-Kuside stretch owing to the Autobaza bridge reconstruction.
Traffic at the M-11 Lepetani – Tivat – Krtolska intersection has been switched from two-way to one-way, with occasional disruptions not exceeding 15 minutes as repairs on traffic lights are underway.
Due to repairs on cracks in the Sozina tunnel, vehicles will operate alternately from 10 pm to 6 am, with potential complete traffic halts occurring for brief periods.
On the regional road R-15, between Rijeka Crnojevića and Virpazar, traffic has been modified to one-way from 4 pm to 6 pm.
AMSCG reminded all drivers that according to the Law on Road Traffic Safety, from November 15 to April 1, vehicles must be equipped with winter tires whenever weather conditions involve snow or ice on the road. The minimum tread depth required for these tires during this period is four millimeters.
