Four Candidates Compete for Prime Minister Position in Kosovo Election

Albin Kurti is set to seek a new term as Kosovo’s prime minister in the general election on Sunday. However, he and his Vetevendosje party will have to contend with three primary competitors in their quest to form the next government.

BIRN has examined the main candidates for prime minister: Vetevendosje’s Kurti; Bedri Hamza from the Democratic Party of Kosovo; Lumir Abdixhiku representing the Democratic League of Kosovo; and Ramush Haradinaj, the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.
