It is imperative to enhance the Constitutional Court of Montenegro’s digital infrastructure and provide assistance in preparing for its operations within the European Union, stated Snežana Armenko, the President of the Constitutional Court, alongside Ekaterina Paniklova, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Montenegro.

Armenko highlighted the future objectives of the Constitutional Court aimed at improving speed, efficiency, transparency, and consistency in its processes, while also addressing the challenges encountered in its operations, particularly the necessity for a new information system and website.

Paniklova expressed the UN Development Programme’s readiness to support the Constitutional Court of Montenegro in its preparations for EU integration and to continue working together in future initiatives that will bolster the Court’s standing, autonomy, and independence as a crucial element in upholding the rule of law in Montenegro, according to the statement.

The meeting was also attended by Ivan Bošković, Head of the Sector for Governance and Responsible Institutions, and Biljana Damjanović, Secretary General of the Constitutional Court.
