“Sharks to Battle Rivals in World Cup Showdown This Thursday”
The draw for the qualifying tournament of the A division of the World Cup in water polo, scheduled to take place in Bucharest from January 7 to 12 next year, will occur tomorrow at 15:00.
A total of 12 teams have secured their spots in the A division based on their performances in prior major competitions.
Among these teams are Montenegro, along with Australia, Croatia, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Japan, Romania, Serbia, Spain, and the USA who will also be competing in the tournament.
The national teams will be organized into four groups, each consisting of three teams. The top teams from each group will progress to the quarterfinals, while the second and third-placed teams will compete for a chance to enter the top eight.
The top six teams from the qualifying tournament in Bucharest, in addition to the two best teams from Division 2, will qualify for the Super Final of the World Cup, set to take place in April 2025. The three highest-placed teams will earn a spot in the World Aquatics Championship, which will be held in Singapore from July 11 to August 3, 2025.
