American basketball player Dennis Smith Jr. has officially joined Real Madrid, as reported by the Euroleague website today.
The 27-year-old guard has inked a contract with the Madrid club through the end of the season, donning the number four jersey.
Throughout his NBA journey, Smith has suited up for teams including Dallas, New York Knicks, Detroit, Portland, Charlotte, and Brooklyn. He has participated in 326 NBA games, averaging 9.7 points, 4.2 assists, three rebounds, and 1.2 steals per contest.
In the last season, Smith posted averages of 6.6 points per game while with Brooklyn, alongside 3.6 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.2 steals.
Currently, after playing 21 matches, Real Madrid sits in seventh place in the Euroleague standings, with a record of 12 wins and nine losses.
