Didije Dinar made a remarkable start as Montenegro’s coach – securing two victories, accumulating four points, and essentially paving the way to the European Championship.
After their narrow win against Finland (29:28), Montenegro’s handball team triumphed over Slovakia in Košice (38:35).
“It was a wonderful victory; we adhered to our training strategy in both defense and attack, and we initiated the qualifiers splendidly,” Dinar commented.
The French icon may not have had extensive training time, but his influence is already evident in the performance of the “lions”.
“We were strong, and throughout these two matches, we were never on the back foot. Naturally, there are areas to improve, but today we maintained control of the game. We achieved our goal, which was to secure two wins,” added the Montenegrin coach.
The qualification campaign resumes in March, with Montenegro facing two crucial matches against Hungary.
“We are looking forward to those games, but until then, we have the opportunity to review our progress and prepare for Hungary,” Dinar concluded.
