Last night, the Chicago Bulls faced a 125:123 defeat against the Charlotte Hornets, marking their fourth straight loss in the NBA. However, Montenegrin player Nikola Vučević delivered an outstanding performance.
The Baranin achieved 40 points in the game, just shy of his personal best of 43 points, which he set four years ago while playing for Orlando against Chicago. He matched that feat two years ago as a Bull during a game against Golden State.

Vučević has previously scored 42 points against Sacramento four years ago and 41 points against Brooklyn eight years ago. His performance last night ranks as the fifth-highest scoring game of his career.
In addition to his points, Baranin also recorded 13 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and did not have any turnovers.
Alongside Vučević, LaVine scored 19 points and White contributed 18 points. For Charlotte, Ball led the scoring on 26 points.
Looking at the game dynamics, the Hornets started the fourth quarter with an impressive 11:0 run, pushing the score to 110:103. They extended their lead with another scoring streak (9:0) to 119:105. The Bulls fought back to close the gap to 121:119, with Vučević scoring to bring it even closer at 122:121.
In a nail-biting finish, Bol scored to make it 124:121, and Vučević responded with a point to narrow it to 124:123. Vasilije Micić then made a free throw to set the score at 125:123, leaving the Bulls with a chance. However, Vučević missed a three-pointer five seconds before the buzzer, and Chicago ultimately fell short, despite offensive rebounds from LaVine and Dosunmu that couldn’t convert.
In other news, the Denver Nuggets were back to winning form with Nikola Jokić’s return to the lineup. They defeated the Miami Heat with a score of 133:113, and Jokić recorded another triple-double with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Murray outshone Jokić on the scoring side with 30 points, while Tyler Herro stood out for Miami with 22 points.
