We Need to Halt Esbjerg’s Counter-Attacks

The handball players of Budućnost are set to play their final match of the year this Sunday.
The team from Podgorica will face Esbjerg (14:00) in the eighth round of the EHF Champions League, a team that defeated them 27:23 last weekend at home in “Morača.”
It is evident that the Danes are the favorites, but Budućnost aims to compete well and leave a positive impression.
“Unlike the first match, we must hit the ground running this time. We can’t let them establish a lead. These games are crucial for us younger players, as they help us grow. We’re supported by our experienced teammates,” stated pivot Anđela Guberinić.
Right back Dunja Radević emphasized the quality of their opponents.
“Last weekend, we saw that Esbjerg plays like other Scandinavian teams. We need to halt their initial counterattacks. We’re a young team, improving daily, and I believe we have a successful year ahead. We learn from each match, and I trust that everything will fall into place,” said Radević.
After seven rounds, Futura has earned one point (at home against Đer), while Esbjerg boasts five victories and two losses.
