The Judo Federation has announced that organizing the European Senior Championships will be the pivotal event in 2025.
The championship is scheduled to take place from April 23rd to 27th in Podgorica.
President Jovica Rečević stated that a smaller country has never hosted such a significant competition in the history of judo.
“This should serve as an extra motivation to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that all guests leave satisfied and take with them wonderful memories and souvenirs from Montenegro,” Rečević remarked during the regular Assembly of the Judo Federation.
During the session, the Work Report, Financial Report for the previous year, as well as the work plan, program, competition calendar, and Budget plan for 2025 were all adopted.
In line with the Law on Sports and the Statute of the Judo Federation, the Assembly approved Rečević’s proposal to appoint Jovana Peković as a new Board of Directors member, representing the athletes.
The President signed agreements with representatives of the clubs organizing the tournament, outlining rights and obligations to enhance the quality of tournaments organized by the clubs in 2025.
The session saw the attendance of 32 delegates.
