A new contract has been finalized, ensuring that Miloš Vujović will compete in the world’s premier handball league at least until 2027.
The Montenegrin left winger will continue to don the Gumerzbach jersey in the upcoming period, after joining the team in 2023 from the German club, Fuhse Berlin.
“I am truly thrilled about the new contract. From the very start, I felt at home in Gumerzbach, and I have been warmly welcomed by both the club’s management and my teammates,” Vujović stated on the club’s official portal.
The North Rhine-Westphalia club is currently ranked seventh in the Bundesliga, with Vujović scoring 11 goals over 46 matches, boasting an impressive chance conversion rate of 82.14 percent.
“As I anticipated when I joined, Gumerzbach has proven to be a significant club with ambitious goals and a conducive working atmosphere, which fits me well. It is also crucial for me that my family feels secure and comfortable here. That’s why we are very pleased and excited to remain,” commented the standout left back of EHF Euro 2022.
Alongside Vujović, pivot Kristijan Horžen has also secured a new contract, and the club expresses its satisfaction with their progress.
“We are delighted that both players will continue with us – they quickly adapted to our playing style and have become vital contributors,” said Gudjon Valur Sigurdsson, the legendary Icelandic handball player and current Gumerzbach coach.
