Jovanović Proposes Initiative to Establish Twin Town Relationship Between Budva and Trnovo

Miroslav Bjelica, the Mayor of Trnovo, a city municipality in East Sarajevo within the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with Siniša Golijanin, the President of the Trnovo Municipal Assembly, conducted an official visit to the Municipality of Budva. They held discussions with Nikola Jovanović, the President of the Municipality of Budva.
As per the announcement from the Municipality of Budva, the discussion focused on enhancing efforts related to twinning the Municipality of Trnovo with the Municipality of Budva.
“The representatives from the Municipality of Trnovo conveyed to their hosts that a Decision on twinning had been adopted on their side and expressed their delight over the prospects of bolstering cooperation between the two municipalities. Nikola Jovanović, the President of the Municipality of Budva, stated that he would propose an initiative to the Budva Municipal Assembly to formalize the twinning process, thereby improving future collaboration in areas of shared interest. Both parties conveyed their belief that this visit marks a significant stride towards fortifying the friendly relations between Trnovo and Budva, aiming to facilitate experience exchange and enhance mutual cooperation,” read the statement.
According to the official website of the Municipality of Trnovo, it is one of six municipalities that compose the City of East Sarajevo.
