Another Loss for Chicago Despite Vučević’s Strong Performance

In their latest outing, the Chicago Bulls faced a defeat against Portland, with a final score of 113:102, marking their fifth straight loss in the NBA.

Conversely, Portland managed to snap its own five-game losing streak.

Nikola Vučević, a player for the Montenegrin national team, delivered another outstanding performance, nearly achieving a triple-double. On the court for 35 minutes, Vučević recorded 17 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, one block, and notably finished the game without any turnovers.

For the Bulls, LaVine was the standout performer, scoring 27 points, while Williams contributed with 15 points.

On the opposing side, Henderson led the charge for Portland with 25 points, followed by Sharp with 23 points and Avdija with 20 points.

Currently, the Bulls hold the 10th position in the Eastern Conference with a record of 18 wins and 25 losses, while Portland is in 13th place in the Western Conference with a record of 14 wins and 28 losses.

In another matchup, the Denver Nuggets triumphed over the Orlando Magic 113:100 on the road, marking their sixth win in the last seven games.

Leading the way for Denver was Serbian star Nikola Jokić, who registered 20 points, along with 14 rebounds, 10 assists, three blocks, and three steals. Christian Brown also shined with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Additionally, Jamal Murray scored 19 points and Michael Porter Jr. added 15 points, while Russell Westbrook contributed 12 points, six assists, and five rebounds. Notably, Jokić did not play in the fourth quarter.

Wendell Carter Jr. was the standout for Orlando, scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Anthony Black added 14 points, and both Tristan da Silva and former Nugget Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributed 12 points each.

Denver currently ranks fourth in the Western Conference with 26 wins and 16 losses, while Orlando is now on a three-game losing streak and stands seventh in the Eastern Conference with a record of 23 wins and 21 losses.

Meanwhile, Miami secured a victory over San Antonio, winning 128:107 at home, handing the Spurs their third consecutive loss.

Top performers for Miami included Kelel Ware with 25 points, Duncan Robinson with 21 points, and Terry Rozier with 20 points. Tyler Hiro also contributed significantly with 18 points, seven assists, and six rebounds, while Serbian international Nikola Jović had an impressive 24 points, five assists, two rebounds, and two steals in just 14 minutes of play.

For San Antonio, Devin Vassell was the leading scorer with 23 points, Victor Wembanyama added a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Stephon Castle scored 11 points.

With their latest win, Miami has halted a three-game losing streak and is now eighth in the Eastern Conference with a 21/20 record, while San Antonio is 12th in the Western Conference with a 19/22 record.

Sacramento triumphed over Washington with a score of 123:100 at home, marking the Wizards’ 10th consecutive loss.

Domantas Sabonis led Sacramento with 29 points and 18 rebounds, DeMar DeRozan added 24 points, and Malik Monk contributed 23 points. Keion Ellis scored 18 points, and Deirdre Fox recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 assists.

For Washington, Jonas Valanciunas topped the scoring with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Corey Kispert and Kyle Kuzma added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

With this victory, Sacramento achieved its ninth win in 11 games under new coach Doug Christie and currently sits eighth in the Western Conference with a record of 22 wins and 20 losses, while Washington is last in the Eastern Conference with a dismal 6/35 record.

In a notable rivalry, the Los Angeles Clippers overcame the Los Angeles Lakers 116:102, featuring a commendable performance from Croatian center Ivica Zubac, who recorded 21 points and 19 rebounds. In another matchup, Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee to a 123:109 victory over Philadelphia with 34 points and 15 rebounds.

Oklahoma City’s point guard Shay Gilges-Alexander excelled with 27 points and 10 assists in his team’s 127-101 victory over Brooklyn.
