Darko Vlahović, the Director of the CREAM Europe PPP Alliance and Ambassador of the Swiss organization Impact Global Alliance in Montenegro, has responded to the recent statement issued by the Football Association of Montenegro (FSCG), which emerged on the Vijesti portal yesterday.

“Gentlemen from FSCG, after four and a half years of my public disclosures regarding irregularities and potential corruption associated with the Eastern Stand project at the city stadium under Gorica, you finally choose to speak up.”

It is disheartening that in your defense against serious allegations, you resort to discussing your supposed ‘humanity and nobility’, attempting to invoke emotional responses from our citizens, while claiming you act ‘with the best intentions and in accordance with best practices to enhance our country’s sports infrastructure’. You fail to address the legality of your attempts to impose a ‘donation’ that former mayor Olivera Injac has declined to accept for the past 20 months. This questionable ‘donation’ could lead to over 26 million euros in expenses from the budgets of all citizens, aimed at funding a single stadium stand and parking.

Unlike you, who disguise your true nature, I present myself authentically. You operate as an illegally self-appointed leadership, violating the law, and this is evident as FSCG has not been registered in the Register of Sports Organizations since 2021, an obligation under the Law on Sports for all sports organizations. This has been corroborated by the Sports Inspectorate, the Administrative Court, and the Ministry of Sports and Youth, which has repeatedly denied your registration for three and a half years, resulting in substantial fines charged to the FSCG budget.

I was unaware of my own influence as an ordinary person, capable of halting the construction of the Eastern Stand, obstructing legal processes, preventing three mayors from accepting your lawful ‘donations’, dictating actions to the Special State Prosecutor’s Office to initiate a criminal case, and ensuring that thorough investigative actions are carried out concerning the Eastern Stand of the Pod Gorica Stadium.

Gather your courage, gentlemen from FSCG, and step out from behind your evening announcements. Instead of hiding behind TV appearances where I am a guest, confront the public in real-time discussions where we can address our claims directly, provided your assertions are truthful.

“I urge you to file a report promptly. If it took 12 hours for you to respond to an article viewed by over 117 readers, and only to announce in the evening that you will pursue legal action against me, my expectations dwindle in contrast to reality,” Vlahović remarked.
