The State Prosecutor’s Office plays a crucial role in advancing Montenegro’s European integration, necessitating the establishment of conditions that ensure the institution operates smoothly. This was a key point discussed during a meeting between the Supreme State Prosecutor (SSP) Milorad Marković and Slovenia’s Ambassador to Montenegro, Bernarda Gradišnik.

As reported by the State Prosecutor’s Office, Marković briefed Gradišnik on the progress of the reforms within the state prosecutor’s organization, which commenced last year. He stressed that this is a long-term endeavor aimed at enhancing the quality of work across all levels.

“We recognize that the achievements of the State Prosecutor’s Office are vital for bolstering the rule of law, and we strive daily to aid in this objective. To increase our efficiency, we anticipate that the legislative and executive branches will provide the necessary working conditions for the State Prosecutor’s Office,” stated Marković.

Gradišnik expressed her support for the reforms being implemented in Montenegro’s state prosecutor’s office and emphasized the Embassy of Slovenia’s readiness to assist in their ongoing execution.

The meeting was hosted at the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office and also saw the attendance of the First Counselor at the Embassy of Slovenia, Mirjana Vidakovič.
