The police in Rožaje have initiated criminal proceedings against IM and AM from the region, suspecting them of engaging in illicit trafficking and aiding in such activities, according to the announcement from the Police Directorate.

During a search conducted on a passenger vehicle driven by AM, law enforcement officials discovered and confiscated 56 packages of carbonated beverages, which he was unable to provide adequate documentation for.

“After gathering relevant information, it was established that AM was transporting these goods from Serbia to Montenegro for IM from Rožaje,” the Police Directorate detailed in their statement.

Furthermore, it was noted that the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Rožaje has been informed about the matter, leading to the filing of criminal charges against IM on suspicion of illicit trafficking offenses.

Additionally, criminal charges have also been brought against AM on suspicion of complicity in the crime of illicit trafficking.
