Jovović, Pavicević, and Delić Dismissed; Ćinćur Clinches Series Victory Once More

Last week showcased impressive performances from several players of the Montenegrin national volleyball team in various European competitions, intensifying the race for the tournament finals. Notably, correctors Jovović and Pavicević shone as top scorers, with Jovan Delić also putting up a strong double-digit score.
In the Croatian Super League, Mladost remains unbeatable, achieving their 13th victory of the season with a 3:0 win over Split, driven by standout player Đorđe Jovović, who contributed 18 points with an impressive 74% attack efficiency. Nikola Đurović, our young middle blocker, also made his mark with two points as he played in the second and third sets.
Ribola Kaštela is closing the gap on the league leaders and secured their place in the 13th round. With a nine-point effort from Vukašin Cimbaljević, the Dalmatian team celebrated a 3-0 victory against Rijeka, bringing their record to 11 wins and 2 losses.
In another matchup, Srđan Petrović was at the forefront of a thrilling clash between Centrometal and Marsonia, which ended in a 3:1 defeat (25:16, 20:25, 25:21, 25:21) for his team. The young midfielder managed to score five points, marking the second consecutive loss for the slumping team from Slavonski Brod, now fifth with a 7-6 record in the standings.
Milutin Pavićević delivered another solid performance, finishing with 16 points for Karađorđe, although the team lost to Radnički Niš 3:1 in the 17th round of the Serbian Super League. Karađorđe sits fifth in the league, with 10 wins, trailing Radnički and third-place Crvena Zvezda, the latter led by our coach Ivica Jevtić, who recently defeated the top-ranked Vojvodina 3:2 in a critical match.
Meanwhile, Turšad, with national team player Marko Bojić, is struggling with a losing streak, as they faced their fourth consecutive defeat in Turkey’s Efeler League. With three matches left, they find themselves in a precarious position, despite having one more win than Akusa at the bottom of the table. Turšad was defeated 3:0 by Arkas, with Bojić contributing eight points.
In contrast, Alpacem Kanal, led by Matija Ćinćur, appears to be in top form, securing a 3-1 victory against Maribor with Ćinćur scoring nine points. This victory strengthens their hold on second place in the Slovenian championship, four rounds from the playoffs.
In the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jovan Delić continued to shine with 11 points in Domaljevac’s 3:0 victory over Modriča. This win marked Domaljevac’s 15th triumph in 16 rounds, setting the stage for an important showdown against Napredak from Odžak, with whom they share first place.
In the Czech Championship, Usti was unable to secure consecutive wins for the first time this season, falling to Benjatki 3:0. Players Blažo Milić and Nemanja Peruničić contributed a combined three points in the match. With three rounds left, Usti is precariously close to relegation, trailing the second-to-last team, Zlin, by three victories.
Marko Joksimović and Al Sadd celebrated a 3:0 win over Al Kor, climbing up from the bottom of the standings. Our technician contributed a point in this significant derby victory that allowed Al Sadd to surpass Al Kor and Al Shamal, who lost to Qatar Sport, coached by Darko Prebiracevic, also by 3:0.
Lastly, Balša Radulović, another Montenegrin coach in the Middle East, led Sepahan to the finals of the Iran Cup, where they were narrowly defeated by Razin Polmer 3:1.
