“Jadran Shines Again in Dubrovnik with Resounding Victory Over Primorje”

In mid-September, the water polo team Jadran Mtela triumphed over Jug in Dubrovnik, earning their spot in the Champions League. By early November, they demonstrated a clear quality gap between the Montenegrin vice-champions and the heavyweights from Gruž.

Novljani also celebrated a victory in the regional Premier League at the same venue, showcasing dominance with a score of 13:8, marking their third win in six rounds.

This evening, all eyes were on Vladimir Gojković’s squad, who took a two-goal lead midway through the second quarter and continued to extend it, reaching a six-goal advantage on two occasions.

Danilo Radović topped the charts for Jadran with four goals, while Jovan Vujović and Strahinja Gojković contributed two goals each. Dmitrij Holod, Đorđe Lazić, Aleksandar Ivović, Matija Sladović, and Vasilije Radović each added one goal to the total.

For the home team, Rino Burić stood out by scoring three goals.

Primorac, unfortunately, faced a heavy defeat in Budva, where they were the designated hosts, losing to Mladost with a score of 16:9. This marked the champion’s fourth loss in the regional competition.

Mladost established a four-goal lead (8:4) by halftime, and the outcome was never in doubt after they surged ahead by five points (13:8) towards the end of the third period with two consecutive goals.

Dušan Matković was the leading scorer for Primorac with three goals, supported by Marko Mršić with two. Draško Brguljan, Nika Šušijašvili, Srđan Janović, and Đorđije Stanojević each contributed one goal.

Mladost, guided by the notable Igor Milanović, saw Luka Bukić score four goals.
