No Classes Held This Morning Near Tivat as Police Respond to Reports of Armed Individual in Krtole

This morning, classes at the “Branko Brinić” Elementary School in Radovići, near Tivat, have been canceled due to concerns expressed by some parents, leading them to choose not to send their children to school.

Residents of Krtole were alarmed by rumors circulating on social media late last night regarding an unidentified individual purportedly armed with a rifle in the area.

The incident was promptly reported to law enforcement, who arrived on-site and conducted an overnight search to assess the validity of the reports.

Authorities remain present in the area and informally state that the situation is fully under control, urging the public not to incite panic through social media.

Police are currently reviewing all pertinent information, including surveillance footage from a building in Radovići, which appears to show a young man walking past while carrying an object resembling a rifle.

The Tivat Security Department has noted that they are examining all circumstances related to the footage and all other relevant information concerning the individual captured on video.

Since late last night, police have maintained a consistent presence in Krtole, implementing all necessary measures to address the situation, a source informed “Vijesti.”

Jovan Brinić, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Tivat, confirmed to “Vijesti” that there will be an increased police presence in Krtole until the situation is completely resolved.

“We urge the public to remain calm. I also spoke with the school principal, and it was decided that there will be no classes today due to parents’ concerns. However, I emphasize that decisions should be taken through proper channels and discussions with relevant institutions instead of social media,” Brinić emphasized.
