According to data from the MONSTAT census, 49.84 percent of the population over the age of 15 are computer literate.

The census results indicate that 37.03 percent of individuals have partial computer skills, while 12.9 percent lack the ability to operate a computer altogether, and 0.23 percent did not respond to this question.

Looking at gender distribution, there is a balanced number of computer literate women and men.

When analyzed by municipality, the highest percentage of computer literate individuals is in Tivat at 67.48 percent, followed by Podgorica at 60.81 percent, and then 63.18 percent in Tivat, while Petnjica has the lowest at 17.34 percent, followed by Gusinj at 23.17 percent and Plužine at 27.36 percent, the report indicates.

Computer literacy tends to be higher among younger individuals and declines consistently with age.

Proficiency in computer use is defined as the ability to utilize basic software applications to perform daily tasks.

In this context, data concerning knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, and email applications were gathered.

Aside from the mentioned software, information regarding awareness of social networks and programming knowledge was also collected.
