A group of citizens in Nikšić will block the intersection near the Municipality building today at 17:26 PM to support the informal student group “Kamo Śutra”.

Members of “Kamo Śutra” will also join this blockade, although they will not be organizing one in Podgorica today; they will participate in blockades in Cetinje as well.

Following the recent incident in Cetinje, an informal group of students led road blockades in Podgorica to protest against unmet demands.

The protesters are calling for the dismissal of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović, and Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Aleksa Bečić.

Additional demands include more effective actions by the authorities regarding weapon possession, the reinstatement of civic education as a mandatory subject in all primary and secondary schools, and an enhanced institutional approach to mental health care.

Support has been expressed by citizens in various cities, who are also organizing road blockades.

On January 1, Cetinje resident Aco Martinović tragically killed 12 individuals, including two children, and injured four others, one of whom succumbed to their injuries on January 9 at the Clinical Center.
