Ivanović Holds Meeting with Rabii Alhantouli, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Montenegro
The Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Filip Ivanović, held a meeting today with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Montenegro, Rabii Alhantouli.
During the meeting, Ambassador Alhantouli offered an in-depth analysis of the ongoing situation in Palestine, characterizing it as profoundly challenging, hazardous, and uncertain. He detailed the daily struggles faced by Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank, voicing serious concerns about recent comments hinting at the possible displacement of Palestinian people.
Furthermore, the Ambassador updated Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović on both past and future international efforts aimed at increasing global involvement in addressing the Palestinian situation.
Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović reiterated Montenegro’s firm and clear opposition to any potential infringements on the rights of the Palestinian people, emphasizing the critical importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region. He highlighted the need to pursue a diplomatic solution and prevent further escalation, reaffirming Montenegro’s backing for a two-state solution.
Ambassador Alhantouli expressed his appreciation to Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović for the constructive and open dialogue, as well as for Montenegro’s fair and principled stance on this issue.
