The Finance Ministry has announced a decision for temporary financing for the month of February.

This temporary funding decision for February was made public today on the official website of the ministry and has been effective since February 1.

As of December 31 of the previous year, the Montenegrin Parliament had not approved the budget for this year.

According to the Budget and Fiscal Responsibility Law, if the state budget law is not approved by December 31 of the preceding year, the Ministry of Finance shall authorize monthly allocations for spending units, limited to one twelfth of the actual expenditures from the prior fiscal year, until the budget is adopted.

The discussion regarding this year’s budget is scheduled for today’s parliamentary session.
