“November Update: Blockade Affecting 20,950 Companies and Entrepreneurs in Montenegro”

In Montenegro, based on data from the Central Bank (CBC), there were 20,950 companies and entrepreneurs under financial blockages at the end of November, reflecting an increase of 0.24 percent compared to the end of October.

The total debt related to these blocked accounts amounts to 1.35 billion euros, which is a rise of 0.35 percent from October, as reported by Mine.

The concentration of debt is significant, as indicated by the CBM, with the top ten debtors, representing only 0.05 percent of the total, accounting for 31.93 percent of the overall blocked amount, which totals 429.46 million euros.

It was noted that 51.57 percent of the total blockages, or 693.75 million euros, are attributed to the 50 largest debtors, who make up just 0.24 percent of all registered entities.

There are 1,840 debtors currently experiencing continuous blockages, with their blocked amounts totaling 23.27 million euros, which represents 1.73 percent of the total blockage amount.

Additionally, 19,110 companies or entrepreneurs have been in blockade for more than a year, with a total of 1.32 billion euros in blocked funds.
