Most citizens of Montenegro and the United States view BiH and Serbia as allies, indicating they received the highest ratings, while North Macedonia and Greece were also part of the latest research by the International Republican Institute (IRI).
Citizens of Montenegro express significant trust in Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, President Jakov Milatović, former Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić, and Parliament President Andrija Mandić.
The highest trust among Montenegrin citizens is placed in religious institutions, followed by the army, the president, the prime minister, and the police, as reported by RTCG.
In terms of foreign leaders, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan garnered the most favorable opinion, receiving 56 percent support from respondents. Russian President Vladimir Putin followed with 50 percent, while U.S. President Joseph Biden had 46 percent support, and Chinese leader Xi Jinping received 39 percent.
The survey indicated that most respondents do not support either Russia or Ukraine, with 44 percent deeming the Russian invasion as completely unjustified.
According to the survey, RTCG is the most trusted media outlet among Montenegrin citizens, along with other news platforms like Vijesti, CDM, and Nova M.
The survey was conducted between February 2 and March 5, with a sample size of 1,036 respondents in Montenegro.
