Luka Bar and Herceg Novi on the Brink of Competing for the Trophy
Luka Bar and Herceg Novi have taken a significant step towards the final of the 2025 Montenegrin Women’s Volleyball Cup by securing victories in their respective semi-final matches.
Luka Bar showcased their strength with a commanding 3:0 win against the youthful team from Budva (25:18, 25:21, 25:15), entering the upcoming match in Budva with a substantial advantage. They will only need to win two sets to secure a place in the final of this year’s premier competition. Tijana Kruta led the scoring for Luka Bar with 12 points, while Aieska Vitoria Vicente Ferreira contributed 10 points. On the other hand, Budva’s Viktorija Čoković achieved 12 points, followed closely by Vanja Matunović with 11 points.
Herceg Novi triumphed in the city derby against Albatros, also with a score of 3:0 (25:13, 25:23, 25:12). Branka Obradović’s team faced their biggest challenge in the second set, but Srđan Crnojački’s squad managed to secure the initial victory on their quest to defend their title. Ana Marija Galić excelled for the winning team with 16 points, supported by Gordana Madžgalj with 13 points, while Ralitsa Vasileva and Žeraldin Stefani Gonzalez each added 10 points. Karolina Pidhurska stood out for the home team, scoring nine points.
The semi-finals of the Montenegrin Cup will be contested over two legs, and if required, a golden set will determine the winner of the matches. The second legs are set to take place on February 26th.
