A well-known athlete and one of the key founders of the Karate Club “Ulcinj,” as well as a long-standing member of SUBNOR Ulcinj, Djordje Dabovic, has emerged as a candidate for the presidency of that association, according to information from “Vijesti.”
He is set to take over the role of current president Iva Bevenju at the helm of the Ulcinj SUBNOR.
The electoral assembly is slated for February 15th at 11 am, in the Small Hall of the Municipality.
“A collective of dedicated individuals in the committee, sincerely invested in upholding the legacy of the NOB and anti-fascism, acknowledging the sacrifices made during World War II, particularly those during the July 13th Uprising—deemed by Sartre as a pinnacle of the 20th century—compels us to perpetuate the tradition of honoring the triumph over fascism and local collaborators. The citizens of Ulcinj, irrespective of their religious and ethnic backgrounds, played a vital role in this victory over fascism. We invite everyone to join us in remembering and preserving the history of our courageous ancestors,” states the call to participate in the Electoral Assembly.
The assembly will feature an agenda that encompasses the election of the working presidency, verification and nomination commissions, evaluation of the previous period’s work report, adoption of the Statute of SUBNOR Ulcinj, and elections for the president, secretary, members of the Municipal Board, and Supervisory Board.
