Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajic

Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic announced today that the government is not averse to any task but emphasized that it is crucial for the parliamentary majority to come together and present a resolution regarding genocide in Jasenovac.

This morning, Prime Minister Spajić urged the Assembly to address the Proposal for a Resolution on Genocide in Jasenovac, following Montenegro’s support for the UN General Assembly’s Resolution on Srebrenica.

– This is more of a political resolution than a technical one. I believe it is essential for the parliamentary majority to convene in the Assembly and draft a proposal for the resolution. As a government, we are not avoiding any responsibilities, and we will collaborate – stated Spajić to reporters after the Government’s meeting, as reported by RTCG.

Furthermore, the government did not discuss the Resolution on Srebrenica in today’s session, and when asked about it not being on the agenda, Spajić mentioned that he would be briefed when the topic was scheduled for discussion.
