“I’ve lost everything: first, I’ll take your life, then my own…”

Following a session at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica, Đ. Đ. has been detained for a maximum of 72 hours on reasonable suspicion of committing the crime of domestic or family violence.
On January 7, 2025, during an argument, the accused threatened his spouse, stating: ‘I have nothing left to lose; I will kill you first, then myself…’ This caused the victim to fear for her life, and similar threats were repeated by the suspect on multiple occasions. The State Criminal Investigation Department in Podgorica has noted that this individual is a repeat offender for similar offenses.
