Marović Bogdanović: Jovanović’s Election Marks a “Day of Mourning”
Milena Marović Bogdanović, the wife of Aleksandar Bogdanović, Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), and daughter of the fugitive leader of the Budva crime group, Svetozar Marović, remarked on Nikola Jovanović’s election as the new mayor of Budva Municipality, stating it was “a day of mourning” via WhatsApp.
She shared a black-and-white photo from “Vijesti” featuring Jovanović taking the oath, captioned with “day of mourning” and an accompanying emoticon.
Jovanović secured his election last night thanks to the votes from his political group “Budva, our city”, the European Union, and URA, with significant backing from the party where her husband holds a prominent position.
Throughout the campaign, Jovanović consistently accused New Serbian Democracy of being under the influence of Svetozar Marović operating from Belgrade.
