Last month, parliamentary political parties were allocated a total of 577.916 euros from the budget to support their regular operations, as reported by the Ministry of Finance.

The largest share of funds was awarded to the Europe Now Movement (PES) with 146.154 euros, followed by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) at 103.511 euros, New Serbian Democracy (NSD) with 61.335 euros, Democratic Montenegro at 48.755 euros, and the Bosniak Party (BS) with 48.578 euros.

In January, the Democratic People’s Party (DNP) received 27.260 euros from the budget, while the Socialist People’s Party (SNP) was allocated 26.429 euros, and the Civic Movement URA received 26.252 euros.

The Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD) got 18.266 euros, alongside the Croatian Civic Initiative (HGI), which received 17.123 euros, and the Albanian Alternative was awarded 14.983 euros.

For the Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA), the budget allocation was 6.088 euros. The Democratic Party (DP) and New Democratic Force Forca each received 5.308 euros. United Montenegro (UCG) and CIVIS also obtained 4.815 euros each.

The Democratic Alliance of Albanians (DSA) received 4.280 euros for its regular operations in January, while the National Albanian Union (NAU) was granted 2.140 euros.

The Democratic Alliance in Montenegro was allocated just 3 euros from the budget, whereas the Movement for Justice received 938 euros.

The Law on Financing Political Entities and Election Campaigns dictates that budgetary funding for the operational costs of political entities in the Parliament of Montenegro is set at 0.5 percent of the planned current budget for the year in which it is adopted.

As the 2025 budget has yet to be approved, the Ministry will allocate funds based on a decision that permits up to one twelfth of the actual expenditures from the previous fiscal year. Last year, the state budget designated 6.9 million euros for the regular operational funding of parties.

Additionally, the Ministry of Finance has decided on the budget allocation for the regular operations of women’s organizations within political entities in the Parliament, with 57.791 euros earmarked from the January budget. This totals approximately 693.492 euros annually.

Each of the Bosniak Party, Croatian Civic Initiative, and Socialist People’s Party received 6.421 euros.

The Europe Now Movement was allocated 5.886 euros, while the Democratic Party of Socialists received 5.198 euros. The Albanian Alternative got 4.494 euros, New Serbian Democracy received 4.445 euros, and Democratic Montenegro was allocated 4.173 euros.

The Civic Movement URA was granted 2.247 euros, the Democratic People’s Party was awarded 1.975 euros, and the Democratic Alliance of Albanians received 1.284 euros.

The Democratic Party was allocated 1.990 euros; New Democratic Force Forca received 1.990 euros as well. The Democratic Alliance in Montenegro obtained 1.476 euros, while the Movement for Tuzi got 963 euros and the National Albanian Union received 642 euros.

Social Democrats were allocated 917 euros, the Democratic Union of Albanians received 305 euros, and both United Montenegro and CIVIS received 267 euros each.

According to the Law on Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns, 0.05 percent of budget funds are set aside for the regular operations of women’s organizations in parliamentary parties. This law requires that, in addition to funds from the state budget, money for women’s organizations in political entities is also sourced at the local self-government level, with 0.11 percent of current budget funds allocated for this purpose. Some municipalities with budgets below five million euros have specific provisions.

Funding for women’s organizations has been administered since 2020, following the enactment of an initiative from the Women’s Political Network (ŽPM).
