Cybersecurity Training at the Civil Aviation Agency

The Civil Aviation Agency (CAA), in partnership with specialists from the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) in Brussels, conducted a comprehensive three-day training workshop focused on information security. This event was held from February 4 to February 6 as a part of the Support to State Programme.

The purpose of the workshop was to equip participants with an in-depth knowledge of the recent European Union regulations concerning information security in civil aviation. This area is governed by two specific EU regulations, which are set to be implemented at the CAA level by 2025.

Attendees were familiarized with the regulatory requirements and their practical applications via presentations and hands-on exercises. The workshop featured participants from CIRT, CAA employees, two EUROCONTROL experts, and representatives from Air Traffic Control (SMATSA).

Additionally, this event served as a platform to strengthen collaboration among participants on both national and international fronts.
