Luka Uskoković’s Journey Through Uzbekistan
Luka Uskoković, a former young talent on the Montenegrin national team, has signed with Uzbek club Andijan at the age of 28.
Montenegrin players are making their mark in Uzbekistan, with Ivan Bošković coaching the currently third-placed Songdiana, and Rade Petrović serving as his assistant. Additionally, Vladimir Jovović stands out as one of the league’s top players.
Uskoković began his career at Buducnost and later flourished at Maribor, where he progressed from the youth squad to the first team. He spent nearly a decade with one of Slovenia’s premier teams before transferring to Latvia’s Lijepaja last year.
Now, Uskoković has his sights set on Andijan, the team currently sitting in ninth place in the Uzbek league.
“He transitioned from Lijepaja to Andijan as a free agent, completed his medical evaluations, and is set to strengthen the team in Uzbekistan,” stated Filip Jovićević, who facilitated the transfer.
