The initial round of the second phase of the EPCG Volleyball Super League presented no surprises as all the anticipated teams secured solid victories.

In the opening match of the 11th round, Buducnost’s volleyball squad achieved a decisive win in “Morača,” besting Mornar with a score of 3:0 (25:20, 25:18, 25:15). While their first encounter was one of the most thrilling in the championship thus far, this time, Dejan Radić’s team demonstrated superior gameplay. Notably, Montenegrin national team member Ivan Zvicer played a pivotal role in their success, reaffirming his status as a valuable addition to the squad. With this victory, Buducnost reclaimed the second position in the standings, sporting a record of 7-2 with a game in hand, while Mornar occupies the fourth position after 10 rounds, with six wins and four losses.

The standout players for Buducnost included Luka Lojić and Ivan Zvicer, each contributing 13 points, while Aleksa Nikolić also marked a notable performance with 10 points. For Mornar, Stefan Radević matched Nikolić’s output with 10 points, and Lazar Cimbaljević added eight.

Budva continued its impressive run with a youthful lineup, decisively defeating Sutjeska at home with a score of 3:0 (25:8, 25:17, 25:17), thus affirming their earlier victory in the season. Budva remains at the pinnacle of the table with an unblemished record of 30 points, whereas Sutjeska has managed three wins against six losses. The leading scorers for Budva in this match were Vukota Čelebić with nine points, followed closely by Vuk Stanojević and Vasilije Milenković, each contributing eight points.

Jedinstvo wrapped up the round by triumphing away against Galeb, winning 3:0 (25:18, 25:23, 25:14). This victory propelled Jedinstvo ahead of Mornar in the standings with one additional point (19), despite both teams sharing a 6-4 win-loss record. Galeb remains with just one victory, which came against Lovćen.

Stefan Bugarin led Bijelopolje to victory with a notable 14 points, while Ognjen Marstijepović excelled for Galeb, scoring 10 points.

Looking ahead, Budućnost Volley is set to face Jedinstvo, who will also meet in the semi-finals of the Montenegrin Cup, while Galeb takes on Sutjeska, and Budva will compete against Lovćen.
