Rajnke: Focus on Enhancing the Capabilities of the High Court’s Special Department in Podgorica

The President of the Supreme Court, Valentina Pavličić, highlighted the importance of enhancing court efficiency, tracking case progress, and bolstering the capabilities of the Special Department of the High Court in Podgorica during her meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, Judy Rising Reinke.
Diverse topics were discussed, including the Supreme Court’s priorities, plans, and the overall state of the judiciary concerning the rule of law. This was emphasized during their conversation, as stated by the Supreme Court.
Pavličić also emphasized that revising procedural laws is essential for modernizing court processes, particularly regarding cases involving organized crime and corruption, in addition to optimizing the judicial network.
“… She expressed hope that both the legislative and executive branches would foster conditions that allow for the efficient functioning of the judiciary in Montenegro, notably regarding financial autonomy. Ambassador Reinke also shared insights with the President of the Supreme Court about the current U.S. administration’s key objectives to enhance security, strength, and prosperity in America,” the statement detailed.
