As per the latest figures from the Herceg Novi Tourist Organization, there are currently 1,808 visitors in the city, showing a decrease of 119 compared to the same timeframe last year, which recorded 1,927 guests.
The majority of visitors, according to RTHN, continue to opt for private accommodations, where 1,268 tourists have been registered, including 1,261 foreigners. This signifies a decrease of 298 guests in private lodging compared to last year.
In contrast, hotels are experiencing a rise in occupancy. At present, there are 540 guests in hotel accommodations, an increase of 179 from the same date last year. Out of these, 521 are international tourists, while 19 are locals. Although the overall tourist count is slightly down from last year, the uptick in hotel guests suggests improved performance in this sector.
No guests have been recorded in hostels or campsites so far.
RTHN anticipates that the forthcoming Mimosa Festival will attract a record number of tourists to Herceg Novi during this season, primarily from nearby countries.
