Banks’ Liquid Assets Total 1.49 Billion Euros as of November End

At the close of November, the liquid assets of banks totaled EUR 1.49 billion, reflecting a decrease of 1.15 percent from October.

In comparison to the same month last year, liquid assets were down by 11.95 percent.

The liquidity ratios across the banking system remained above the mandated minimums, both daily and over longer periods.

The overall balance sheet total for banks at the end of November was 7.1 billion euros, representing a monthly increase of 1.36 percent and an annual rise of 5.45 percent.

Regarding the asset composition, net loans made up a significant 63.75 percent at the end of November, followed by securities at 18.81 percent and cash and deposits with central banks at 14.29 percent. The remaining 3.15 percent corresponded to other asset categories.

On the liabilities side, deposits constituted a major portion at 81.02 percent, with capital at 12.89 percent, loans at 2.79 percent, and other items accounting for 3.3 percent of total liabilities.

Total bank capital reached 914.35 million euros at the end of November, marking a monthly increase of 1.33 percent and an annual growth of 12.05 percent.
