Primorac Defeated in Belgrade
Water polo athletes from Primorje enjoyed a remarkable series of four consecutive victories across three different competitions, but their impressive run came to an end in Belgrade against Crvena zvezda in the regional Premier League.
In the 9th round, Kotor faced a 12:10 defeat, marking their sixth loss of the season, alongside three wins, one of which (against Jug) was achieved against a top-tier team.
The “red and whites” maintained a solid lead throughout most of the match, though Primorac managed to close the gap to 5:0 with an impressive 11:10 run just one minute and nine seconds before the end.
However, in the very next possession, the hosts secured their victory…
Đorđije Stanojević emerged as the standout player for Primorac, scoring three goals, while Dušan Matković added two. Supporting him were Draško Brguljan, Nika Šušijašvili, Nemanja Vico, Nikola Brkić, and Balša Vučković, each contributing one goal.
The Jadran Mtel water polo team is set to face Radnička in Kragujevac on Monday.
