The water polo team of Jadran Mtela executed an impressive away game in the Premier League without any errors.
The team from Škver surged through Kragujevac, claiming a decisive victory against Radnički with a score of 12:9 (3:4, 0:3, 2:4, 4:1) during the 9th round of the regional league.
Quick goals from Đorđe Lazić, Jovan Vujović and Strahinja Gojković set Novlja ahead at 3:0 in the Sports Center “Park,” indicating the momentum of the match would favor them.
Radnički managed to tighten the score to 4:3 before the end of the first quarter, but Jadran launched a fierce performance, winning the second quarter 3:0 and extending their lead to 9:3 at the start of the third with a 5:0 run.
Vladimir Gojković’s squad led 10:4 and 11:5, and while they relaxed a bit during the final eight minutes, the victory was firmly in hand.
Jadran, facing a team that had previously eliminated the strong Mladost in the Champions League qualifiers and coached by Serbia’s Uroš Stevanović, showcased their depth by skillfully utilizing more players (7-5) and defending exceptionally well even with one player less in the water (10-3).
Lazić topped the scoring for the winning team with three goals, while Gojković, Danilo, and Vasilije Radović each notched two goals. Dmitrij Holod and Aleksandar Ivović contributed one goal apiece, and goalkeeper Darko Đurović recorded four saves.
On the opposing side, Dušan Vasić scored twice.
