The head of the influential Saudi Arabian promotional fund, Turki Al-Sheikh, secured four fights with the renowned Mexican fighter, Saul Canelo Alvarez, just two days ago, and the identity of the first challenger has already been revealed.
Cuban fighter William Scul, the IBF world champion, is set to be the first opponent on May 3rd at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, with the absolute super middleweight title on the line.
Scul boasts an undefeated record of 23 victories, but he suffered his first loss in November against Russian Vladimir Shishkin, who defeated him by unanimous decision after 12 rounds.
The second bout will mark the first event organized by Al-Sheikh outside of Riyadh, taking place in Las Vegas on September 25th against Terence Crawford.
The third fight is slated for February 2026, while the final bout under the contract is scheduled for October of that same year.
