The Chetniks, partisans, and the committee in Budva have managed to set aside their differences and unite around shared values – specifically crime, cocaine, and theft, as stated by Vasilije Čarapić, the head of the parliamentary group of the Europe Now Movement (PES).
In a social media post, Čarapić reflected on the events of the day within the Montenegrin political landscape.
“What a day it’s been. Đole Lutovac has been elected as the mayor of Berane. The opposition played their cards poorly during negotiations and now they’re facing the consequences. Mandić kickstarted reconciliation talks by suspending the interlocutors from Parliament for 15 days, leading to the Parliament’s much-needed unblocking. DPS MPs set a trap in the hallway, were disruptive for about half an hour, and then left. The Chetniks, partisans, and the committee in Budva have successfully overcome their divisions to unite around their common values – crime, cocaine, and theft. And this is just Monday,” Čarapić expressed.
